Somehow we got promised
That the seasons would change
That the cold we have to endure
Won’t be eternal
That the midnight will slowly fade
With the rise of dawn
But nothing happened
Nothing changed
There was no conversation
Between January and December
There was no January nor December
Just an everlasting winter
Swallowing up last bits of the warm
The invariability made us long for randomness
For a serendipity
A shift that would shake this world
And turn everything around
That would fulfil the promise
